As the largest steelmaker and recycler in North America, with a goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050, Nucor, a prominent manufacturer in South Carolina, has invested in an on-site renewable energy project. The solar canopy and the renewable energy it generates support Nucor’s commitment to sourcing diverse, clean energy for its circular steelmaking operations.
The completed project generates renewable energy and additionally provides functional company and community outdoor space. From daily employee gatherings to corporate events, the canopy space contributes to a positive corporate culture.
Leveraging their expertise in renewable energy solutions, Branham Group partnered with Nucor to design, engineer, procure, and construct the solar canopy. This project exemplifies Nucor’s vision for sustainability and operational excellence, demonstrating how industrial leaders can integrate clean energy into their operations while creating additional value for their workforce and communities.
“We are grateful for the opportunity to deliver a sustainable, clean energy project for our client while setting a precedent for innovative, eco-conscious development within the industrial landscape of South Carolina,” said Jarrett Branham, CEO of Branham Group.
Branham Group’s comprehensive approach to renewable energy projects, combined with its commitment to quality and innovation, positions the company as a leader in the renewable energy sector. Their ability to execute impactful, forward-thinking solutions highlights their dedication to driving a sustainable future and supporting clients in meeting environmental goals.
